Fort Apache (1948)

Very hackneyed.  It's like Fonda had pooped in the Producer's studio and they forced him to be stupid for the whole movie.  Either that, or he hated the part so much he played it badly on purpose.  Shirley Temple and John Wayne fill out the cast of this real cardboard cutout loser. 2 of 7 stars.

The Last Party (1993)

Robert Downey, Jr made this movie, and then had a lot of legal problems. 4 of 7 stars

Catch-22 (1970)

By 1970, the troops in Viet Nam were many, and more were going.  Actors and many Hollywood people are often cool by profession.  Liking bomber squadrons, even WWII ones, was not.  It's a reflection of what people want to think. 5 of 7 stars.

Twelve O'Clock High (1949)

A great movie about the lives, and deaths, of a American bomber group in England.

The Gristle (2001)

This movie is not about race.  It stretches credulity.  It's not an old movie.  Still, it's not about race. 5 of 7 stars.
